Create a pattern simple and fast. I can do it
This feature is only for adobe illustrator cs6 only, if below that version,
also can do but diferent technique.
Technique tutorial
Step 1
Create a new document A4 size.
select vertical or horizontal is up to you.

Step 2
That go to the symbol panel and select symbol libraries menu
select flowers, that pop up a panel choices gerbera flower, then you will see the symbol at panel side.
close the pop up panel.
Drap the gerbena flower out, then right click select break link to symbol.
After that go to object -> pattern -> Make.

After that go to object -> pattern -> Make.
Step 3
Pop up the msg has been add to swatches click ok
Then go to the pattern panel. Select the tile type you like and how many copies you want.

Step 4
After that you have seleted the pattern you want just click on the done button at above.
The pattern will be store at swatches panel, drap it out. Done.
